16th Street & The Strand, Manhattan Beach. When it’s marathon training season, I spend my early Saturdays running along The Strand. I stare at this during the 3 mile stretch from the pier and back. Scheimer Residence, Ray Kappe, 1985. The architect said it was “one-off” his designs and a true party house. After a year on the market, this 3 bedroom, 6 bathroom sold early this month for $10.9M. Originally listed at $13.5M, reduced to $12.499M. For the buyer with paper, that’s a great deal!
